use, and we ask that CSIRO is given credit for any use of
these photos. Please read the Terms and Conditions in full
before using these images.
Terms and conditions
The terms and conditions constitute a legal agreement between
you and CSIRO. ("CSIRO " "WE" or "OUR")
to use this website. Please read this agreement ("Agreement")
in its entirety before you continue to use this website or
download any image. By downloading an image that stipulates
agreement to the following Terms and Conditions and by using
this website, you agree to be bound by the Terms and Conditions
of this Agreement. If you do not agree, please do not download
images.
As part of the above licence arrangements, we require that
a credit reading "© Copyright CSIRO" and a
link to 'http://www.tfrc.csiro.au' appears adjacent to the
images or on an obvious credits page or screen.
The Image Licence will terminate automatically without notice
from CSIRO if you or your employer fail to comply with any
provision of this agreement. Upon termination, you and your
employer must immediately (i) stop using the Image(s), (ii)
delete the Image(s) and all copies from all magnetic media
and destroy all other copies, or upon request of CSIRO, return
all such copies to CSIRO. Use of the Image(s) must be in compliance
with all applicable law, including, but not limited to, laws
and regulations relating to currency and the law of moral
rights.
CSIRO reserves the right to discontinue the use of any Image
for any reason and elect to replace the Image with an alternate
Image. Upon notice of any discontinuance of a licence for
a particular Image, you, your employer and your client, if
applicable, agree not to use the Image in the future.
Educational and Academic Use
This licence governs the use of free images that you download
from the 'Photo Gallery' section on our website for educational
or academic use, such as school projects, activity sheets
and educational publications.
Images under this licence are NOT to be used for any non-educational
commercial use, which includes use in:
1. Advertising and promotion campaigns, presentation and
brochures;
2 . Book jackets and interior pages;
3 . Packaging for software, music albums, CDs, cassettes or
videos;
4 . Calendars, greeting cards or posters;
5 . Trade show displays, billboards or exhibits; or
6 . Products for resale in any quantity.
You are strictly prohibited from using any image in conjunction
with any defamatory, libelous, misleading, pornographic or
otherwise unlawful material.
